Crash Landing (SITEID: 43129, Owner) We will limit this blog to comments on philosophy, religion, theology, economics, sociology, history, physics, mathematics, politics, current events, computers, sports, art, culture, programming languages, nightlife, travel, artificial intelligence, ethics, food, and secret sex tips gleaned from years spent with various Himalayan masters. So don't expect it to cover everything.
Little Red Blogger (SITEID: 43322, Owner) This blog looks at radical politics, music and culture. Marx to Mises, Girls Aloud to Steve Reich...
without hyphens (SITEID: 67513 A blog about many things, but primarily issues of freedom and liberty, from the State, from Religion, and from any form of coercion. Individualism, above all else.
Kehlkopfmikrofon (SITEID: 67608, Owner) Anarchism without adjectives, but with strong sympathies for mutualism and radical libertarianism.

These are the blogs which are in my RSS reader.
The Bound Dragon Tagline The ruminations of a postmillennial dragon-slayer. The slayers only identify themselves as matt and mattb. This is one recently discovered by me, Ill be looking forward to reading more.
The Chalcedon Blog The blog of the Chalcedon Foundation, a Christian educational organization devoted to research, publishing, and promoting Christian reconstruction in all areas of life. Be sure to see their position papers and articles on their home page.
Christian and State Nellis, a Seventh Day Adventist Pastor, has a clear understanding of the danger of the State, and how it stands against the Kingdom of God. Highly recommended, one of the best from a scholarly perspective.
Civics News - Scott Ritsema's writings are strongly libertarian. Read his well-considered "Philosophy" in his right sidebar.
Code Monkey Ramblings Tagline Because real coders do their best work directly on production servers. Dont let Mike fool you, his is a Christian libertarian site. This is also a new one for me, discovered while researching for this article.
Father Hollywood - Rev. Beane's site has much to say for it. Decidedly Christian, an interesting mix of New Orleans culture, Lutheran Theology, and libertarian thinking. I am looking forward to having a beignet and cafe au lait with Larry someday.
Free Advice The personal blog of economist Robert Murphy. Mr. Murphy is author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Capitalism and The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Great Depression and the New Deal.
The Humble Libertarian - Thought provoking, more libertarian than Christian in the subject matter, but their faith is communicated in posts like these.
The Holy Cause Of course! The title comes from Patrick Henrys famous "give me liberty or give me death!" speech, where he referred to liberty as "the holy cause". I couldnt agree more.
LDS Freemen Featuring several regular contributors, LDSFreemen.com is dedicated to advancing the cause of Liberty and the Proper Role of Government based upon the Principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Libertarian Christians Norman is doing a great job here. Scholarly and original. One of the best of the genre.
Liberty vs. Leviathan Tagline Chronicling Libertys battle against Leviathan. Mr. Fuller, of the Roman Catholic faith, has interesting commentary, and a nice collection of Catholic and libertarian links in his blogroll.
The Mind-Body Politic Tagline Individuals Not Ideologies. Lila Rajiva is the author of The Language of Empire and co-author of Mobs, Messiahs, and Markets. And yes, Lila is a Christian, despite rumors to the contrary.
Pro Libertate - With a strong emphasis on abuses of state power, Mr. Grigg is a hard-hitting commentator. Some may be offended by his sometimes caustic way of expressing himself.
SchansBlog By Eric Schansberg, Libertarian candidate for US Congress, Indiana. Postings vary from political to religious, from private to public, from formal writing on public policy to snippets on random observations. See also his Campaign site.
An Unquiet Voice Tagline Vocal thoughts on life, liberty, and spirituality. Doug has a great and eye-pleasing blog with good Christian perspective on liberty.
Vox Popoli - Has a significant and active following. Sometimes a little coarse, always controversial, Vox also writes a weekly column at World Net Daily.
Other Interesting Blogs:
These are other blogs which meet the qualifications that I set for being on this list, but they are not part of my daily reading. Please note that this does not mean that they are of any lesser quality, in fact some of them are very interesting I just dont read them regularly.
Anarchy and Love Tagline Writings of an Anarcho-Peacenik. As suggested by the title and tagline, Dons blog has a strong emphasis on peace. He says, Its wrong to use violence or the threat of violence against the person or property of anyone else. everything the state does is an act of violence, and I oppose it all.
Acton Institute Powerblog The blog of the Acton Institute, a [Catholic] non-profit think tank dedicated to promoting a free and virtuous society characterized by individual liberty and sustained by religious principles.
The Anti-Positivist Jim Fedakos ideas on aprioristic, free-market economics and Christian thought. Jim has articles on other sites like Lew Rockwell.
Bill Starrs Blog Tagline Thoughts and commentary from a Christian, Constitutionalist, limited government, free market, anti war, homeschooling perspective.
Blessed Economist Tagline Economics is dismal, unless blessed by the Spirit. Politics is power, until crushed by the Cross. Being Church is our calling. The Kingdom of God is our Glorious Hope. Economics is the thrust here. Written by an unnamed New Zealander.
Brains ť are delicious! A husband (Shamus) and wife (Heather) blog. From the About page, A collection of random comments, links, and articles regarding real Christianity, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and zombies well, maybe not zombies.
Christine Smiths Blog Christine Smith is a writer from Colorado. Apparently of the Roman Catholic faith. See her recent article When Government Replaces God and Family published at the Future of Freedom Foundation.
CCL: Christian Classical Liberalist The author writes,I am a Christian and I am a classical liberalist because I believe that classical liberalism is the only political and economic system that is compatible with the Bible, as well as being the only one with an internally consistent logic. I believe that the Bible Gods manual for life is the infallible word of God and the standard by which all things must be measured.
The Christian Libertarian How can I not add a blog with a name like that? A little heavy on the use of twitter, which I generally find annoying, but good content interspersed.
Christian Libertarian Motherhood Another thoughtful blog, presumably by a woman, based on the title. As I was writing this I was surprised to see a quote by me as the quote of the day! Imagine that, Im famous! As in the case of many womens blogs, very artistically presented. Yes, sexist, but true.
A Conservative Blog for Peace Several bloggers contribute to this blog, self-described as Catholic in the sense explained here and not a diocesan or denominational house-organ liberal in the sense of classical liberalism conservative in the sense of individual responsibility libertarian not pacifist but anti-war.
In Defense of the Constitution Daryl is self-described as a conservative/libertarian/classic liberal. Some just call me a Ron Paul Republican. Most of all I am a Christian and a Reformed/Calvinist one at that.
Economic Wisdom With a tagline of Links to reliable or amusing articles about Economics, it is as described. Same writer as the Blessed Economist, listed previously.
Emunda Erik writes from Colorado (by all appearances), and doesnt wear jeans.
Fragmented Obsessions - Michael Lawrence says With any luck, these writings will help to increase the esteem in which liberty, common sense, and good taste are held. A thoughtful mix of Christian and libertarian content.
Imperial Twilight Robins blogs tagline is Observing America's Decline and Transformation, and has interesting articles on everything from homeschooling and gardening to depredations of the state.
Liberty for Kids Tagline More government means less liberty. Despite the blog title, this one is not just for kids! The Author states, My hope is that in some small way I might help parents by being a reference for identifying sources that teach the ideas of liberty.
MandM A husband and wife blog, based in New Zealand. Matt and Madeleine describe themselves as Evangelicals, with Reformed leanings politically they are both Classical Liberals. By their estimation they are among the Top 10 New Zealand Christian Blogs.
Marmalade Sandwich Tagline The random musings of a Christian Libertarian. By Young Mr. Brown, a rare breed indeed - British, Libertarian, and Christian all in one package.
Just Another Pretty Farce I am not sure how to describe Katherines blog. How about very clean and visually appealing, with thoughtful content. Probably more appealing to women than some of the guy blogs, but what do I know about women?
PRE-brief Billy says, I'm a fellow with lots of opinions and very lazy typing fingers. I'm posting some limited original thought in between truly important stuff I see elsewhere. All related to Politics, Religion, and Economics - And all Briefly - Of Course! I liked his article Christian Choices & Libertarian Principles - An Anti- Zoning Primer for My Youngest.
Red Stick Rant - The musings and observations of a New Orleans native, libertarian Republican, gun-toting, orthodox Anglican, Red Sox cheering, architect who lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A good mixture of both serious and humorous fare, nearly all in the form of a rant.
Skyler Collins Mr. Collins writes his blog under three major themes; Truth, Faith, and Life. He is a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The Mormons).
Southern Bread Tagline Southern History, American Liberty. Not much Southern History, but plenty of American Liberty discussion on his blog.
True Paradigm Tagline Thoughts on Scripture, interpretation, and what Scripture might have to say about contemporary issues. More Christian musings than libertarian content, but thoughtful in both regards.
Uncouth Ruminations Carl states, This is a blog that represents anti-imperialism, anti-statism, capitalism, orthodox Christianity, and personal freedom. The viewpoint of the blog is along the lines of Ron Paul style conservative libertarianism.
The Western Confucian Mr.Snyder is an American Catholic living in Pohang, South Korea. He is self-described as unapologetic Westerner living in what is often described as the world's most Confucian society. Also see his archives at LRC here.
Zeal for Truth Tagline We are an online community of (mostly) libertarian Christians who acknowledge the fundamental importance of seeking out rational, reliable truth. We wish to do our part to encourage a healthy questioning of history, religion, philosophy and current events so as to allow knowledge to surface and myths to be exposed.
Honorable Mentions:
These sites dont quite meet the qualifications I laid out for this listing, but I wanted to include them anyway. Hey, its my blog you know!
Lew Rockwell - LRC is not a "Christian" site, nor really a blog. All the same, it is such a rich source that it stands alone. There is much material here which reflects a Christian viewpoint. (For example, see the Christianity and State Archive, Laurence M. Vance Archives, Bill Barnwell Archives, Michael Tennant Archives, and the William L. Anderson Archives.)
Covenant News - Really an aggregator rather than a blog. Definitely a Christian and pro-freedom bent. I suggest using the RSS feed rather than viewing the site on the web (the site is not well organized, IMHO). The feed URL is http://www.covenantnews.com/blog/index.rdf.
The qualifications for making it on the list are as follows:
This list is certainly incomplete. My hope is that readers will point out (in the comments or via email) additional blogs which should have been on the list, and the list will be updated as often as necessary to keep it current. I would also appreciate your assistance in pointing out blogs which should be removed due to a lack of activity or other significant reason. Whenever there is a significant update, an announcement will be made in The Holy Cause.
I am not real interested in entering a debate regarding the political or religious orthodoxy of these blogs or bloggers. It is a varied bunch, everyone can find something to disagree with, and some differences are quite significant. (Not many Christian lists have Lutherans, Roman Catholics, Seventh Day Adventists, Evangelicals, and Mormons all in one list!) That discussion is not forbidden, just not encouraged, as it will probably go nowhere.
Take this as what it is a list of resources likely to be interesting to those who consider themselves Christian libertarians.
Updates:
23 May 2009: Added A Conservative Blog for Peace, Fragmented Obsessions, An Unquiet Voice, and Zeal for Truth.
12 June 2009: Added CCL: Christian Classical Liberalist, The Christian Libertarian, Christian Libertarian Motherhood, In Defense of the Constitution, and Just Another Pretty Farce.
31 July 2009: Added Brains are delicious!, Imperial Twilight, PRE-brief, LDS Freemen, Anarchy and Love, Red Stick Rant, and Uncouth Ruminations.
